Halloween is all about costumes and candy, some Halloween traditions are craving a pumpkin into killer designs, but there are quite a few superstitions that come with spooky season and here is a few
Black Cats: Many people know the most common superstition and that is Black Cats, often they are used as symbols of bad luck, Halloween is filled with black cat decorations. Dating back to the dark ages some women were accused of witchcraft with their pet cats said to be their “familiars” or demon animal that was giving to the witchy women from the devil himself. Another superstition about black cats is that the devil turned himself into a cat to hang out with the witches.

Pumpkins: Everyone knows that Jack-O-Lanterns play a huge part of Halloween tradition’s, however their roots actually come from a sinister place. Folklore tells the story of a farmer who was trunk and his name was Jack who tricked the devil since he used trickery in life he was turned away from Heaven and Hell. Since he was rejected he walked around in purgatory, Jack made a lantern from a turnip and a burning lump of coal that the devil left for him as pity, Jack used the lantern to guide his lost soul. Jack-O-Laterns being left outside is a way to guide the lost souls home on Halloween night.

Cats and Jack-O-Lanterns are two of the most common images in Halloween history. Every time you see one on Halloween night watch out for the witches and lost souls looking for some candy.
